  2. ********************* Version 1.1a Update Instructions ******************

  4. The following instructions will help you upgrade the 12/31/96 version of
  5. BattleMage to version 1.1a. Press F2 on any in-game screen to check the
  6. version number that you have installed.
  7.  
  8. 1. Extract the files into a temporary directory.
  9.  
  10. 2. Open Windows Explorer and go to that directory.
  11.  
  12. 3. Double-click the PATCHGUI application to launch the patch utility.
  13.  
  14. 4. From the FILE menu select Apply Patch.
  15.  
  16. 5. The Patch Filename is patch.
  17.  
  18. 6. The Update directory will be the directory to which you installed the game.
  19.    ( If you installed the game into the default directory the update directory
  20.      should read: C:\progam files\acclaim\mtg battlemage )
  21.  
  22. 7. Click the Apply button to begin the update process.
  23.  
  24. 8. After the process is complete close the application.
  25.  
  26. 9. You can now remove the temporary directory.

  28. 10. When you run Battlemage the version number should now be 1.1a.
